The baldness calculator, which has been designed by German scientists, guarantees to calculate the exact age at which a person will go bald or will have lost almost all his hair.
Not only this, the calculator will also give assurance by predicting whether a person will have a good hair growth on the head in old age or not.
How the programme calculates baldness
As per the details, the ‘latest’ computer programme questions the user about their age, marital status, profession, place of residing, the status of current hairline, hair loss history in the family and the levels of stress they face.
Dr Adolf Klenk, head of research and development at hair care firm 'Dr Kurt Wolff', explained, “Genetic predisposition is by far the most common cause of baldness. But other factors include severe, long-term emotional stress, perhaps associated with a divorce or the loss of a close relative.”
Receding hairline common among men
In males, the hair starts receding from the lateral sides of the forehead. This is termed as “receding hairline”. This problem is mostly seen in men above the age of 20, but nowadays this problem can start even in the late teens.
Dr Klenk believes that the male baldness calculator will definitely prove to be useful for men with a receding hairline. This is especially true in case of young men, who are at the pinnacle of their social lives and want to enjoy it fully.
He was quoted as saying, “We have developed the male baldness calculator to raise awareness among men.”
But a few experts have warned people that this baldness calculator plays upon one of the worst fears in men- that they will turn bald one day.
