9 more swine flu infections reported, tally 91
59 of the total victims have already been treated and discharged. The others have been admitted to the various identified health facilities across the country and are undergoing treatment.
Till date, approximately 650 people have been tested for the swine flu in the country.
Out of the latest nine cases, four each were reported from Bangalore and the national capital Delhi while one case was reported from Punjab.
Family affected in Bangalore
The four cases reported from Bangalore are from the same family. As has been seen with the majority of cases being affected by the flu, this family had also returned from a foreign visit.
“A family of four - a man, woman and two children - who traveled from Newark, the US, via Germany reached Bangalore Friday by a Lufthansa flight and were quarantined at the airport. They were shifted to the identified health facility and all of them have tested positive,” a health ministry official said.
Other cases
The tests of a nine-year-old boy, who came back from Seattle, via Seoul and had reached Delhi on Thursday, revealed that the boy was infected by the influenza.
The other three cases reported in Delhi had returned to the capital from the United States on Monday. The sole case reported from Gurdaspur, Punjab is an indigenous case.

When reports last came in, a total of 54,113 passengers had been screened at various airports. Out of these, 37,296 inbound passengers had returned from the affected countries.
