Use baby placenta for younger skin
British therapist Mona Mirza, like other beauticians in Dubai, is offering the treatment in her salon. Scores of customers throng her saloon each day to get this new treatment and the number of customers desirous of such a treatment is only increasing by the day.
Expensive, but effective
The treatment may be really effective, but it comes at a hefty price. 170 pounds ($307) is what it will cost you for a 60-minute routine. But for many, that’s not too big a price, given the output.
Mirza says of the effectual treatment, "The main reason why human placenta is effective is because it is bio-identical to our own physiology."
Mirza opines that women aged 35 and above should have their first three treatments within a week and then they should follow a once-a-month regimen to get best results.
"The moment the molecule is put on the skin it penetrates and absorbs directly into your skin. Your own collagen starts to mimic the baby collagen and cells that are going in,” adds Mirza.
"It is not a foreign body. The mimicking process continues for about three months after your first treatment, so it’s absolutely ideal,” notes Mirza.
The Who’s Who opting for the treatment
Some of the big names have opted for this treatment. Simon Cowell, Victoria Beckham and Jennifer Lopez are a few of the icons who have used the placenta treatments in their endeavor to look younger.
Mirza’s saloon sources the placenta serum from an American manufacturer. The placentas that are currently being used have been farmed from Russian babies and have been donated willingly.
In Europe, some clinics have been already been using the sheep or horse placenta for facials.
The treatment has its share of skeptics as well who claim that there is no scientific proof that this treatment is effective.
