Malaysian teens offering girlfriends for drugs
Teenagers love to experiment with sex, drugs, alcohol, even clothes and makeup on the fast track to adulthood. In some cases a relationship exists between drug abuse and criminal offences.
Drug abuse is curse in Malaysia
The drug abuse in Malaysia has become quite serious in the past few years. It's evident that drugs are easily available in Malaysia. As a result, it's very easy for young Malaysians to become drug users.
Malaysian national news agency 'Bernama' is reporting that some teenagers in the country who are addicted to drugs are going to such an extent that they are ready to exchange their girlfriends for drugs.
Teens exchanging girlfriends for drugs
State police deputy chief Senior Assistant Commissioner Mazlan Lazim told Bernama that investigations by the State police have revealed that some Malaysian teenage drug addicts are offering their girlfriends, including school going girls, to drug peddlers for a night of sex.
In exchange, those peddlers are providing the teens with supply of pil kuda, Lazim said.
"Such alarming activity also involved schoolboys aged between 14 and 16, who already had sex with their girlfriends," Bernama quoted Lazim as telling reporters Wednesday.
The trend blamed for rise in sexual crime
Lazim blames such "business transactions" for the hike in sexual crimes in Kelantan.
To curb this 'business transaction,' he urged parents to keep a closer eye on their daughters to prevent them from getting involved with drug addicts.
According to him, this year till Dec. 12, 296 rape cases were reported to the police, related to the 'exchange' of girlfriends for a supply of pil kuda.
