According to renowned celebrity trainer from Australia, those adopting a low-fat diet were in for a disappointment as they may still not be able to lose weight.

James Duigan, who has a huge celebrity clientele, has released his second book ‘Clean & Lean: Flat Tummy Fast!’ and it gives readers a glance into losing weight without a fat-free diet.

Duigan said, "I see so many people trying their best and it's just not working because they don't understand that it's not fat that makes you fat, it's sugar and it's carbohydrates."

"You need a healthy balanced diet with fish and chicken and meat and vegetables and berries and nuts and things like that. [Low-fat diets] just don't work - it's not sustainable. You need to look at how you can keep yourself happy and healthy throughout your life," he informed.

Book offers easy steps for losing weight
The trainer has mentioned some easy and small steps that can be incorporated in the daily life to get that perfect body.

He recommended that overcooking food kills off all its nutrient content. Also, half of the meal should consist of raw vegetables.

Non-vegetarians should buy organic meat as it contains less toxic elements, said the trainer, adding that avoiding sugar is the perfect solution for getting a flat tummy and so all forms of sucrose should be kept at bay.

The book urged people willing to lose weight to also increase their fiber intake as its deficiency can cause bowel inflammation. Plenty of fruits and vegetables should be included in the diet and also one must drink 2 liters of water daily.

However, depriving yourself of your favorite food is not good and so occasionally one should give in to their temptations and eat what they desire.

The celebrity trainer added, “Feed your soul because you can't live your whole life in denial. And it helps the fat-burning process, it can boost your metabolism and get you leaner the next day. The key is to keep it to one meal.”

Poor time management cause of worry
James Duigan emphasized that it was not very difficult to get a well-toned and healthy body, but the troubling factor is poor time management.

“The only problem with people is that most of us are very poor time managers and blame lack of time as the prime cause for not being able to maintain a healthy diet or a regime,” he said.

Duigan concluded that cutting out on wheat and sugar for two weeks is a good option to check the body’s reaction and this could be the ‘best first step’ towards losing weight.
