Women considering motherhood should not fear migraines
A recent study reported by the American Migraine Foundation (www.americanmigrainefoundation.org) and conducted in Taiwan showed that most of the women diagnosed with migraines are giving birth to babies well within the healthy gestational age.
For the study purpose, Taiwanese researchers analyzed data from the National Health Insurances Research Dataset in Taiwan of nearly 500,000 pregnant women
where 4,911 had a documented diagnosis of migraine.
The findings highlight the need for more discussion between doctors
and women with migraine who are contemplating pregnancy, but noted that
women should not fear pregnancy because of migraine.
