Suspecting that any more resistance would lead to only further controversy, those against the abortion drugs for pre teeners have decided to keep low and adopt a wait and watch policy, lest all the efforts go waste for nothing.
As a consequence, abortion pills would now be made available to preteen girls, without necessitating them to take permission from their parents or even informing them before they terminate the pregnancy in the privacy of their homes.
Appalling many, the decision has not only shocked but also worried parents, who fear that with this, their girls would be taking one pill at a clinic and the other one at home after 24 hours to conveniently abort a pregnancy they would know nothing about.
Such provisions would in no way help us fight them, infact on the other hand it would make kids adopt an all the more casual attitude towards sex and unprotected sex.
Nadine Dorries, the Tory MP and former nurse, who has been involved in the fight against abortions for a long time now, has condemned the plan saying, "We are talking about very young girls who will go home and abort on their own. They will experience pain they never thought possible, bleed like they have never imagined and then flush their own abortions down the toilet."
While a series of counter amendments are on their way, on grounds of late abortions, time limits for abortions etc, it is surprising how a nation which has the largest rate of abortions in Europe can come up with such plans as amendments to their abortion laws.
England and Wales see a total of around two lakh abortions every year.
