A daily pill for greater spontaneity in bed

London, February 3: A new full-time version of Cialis meant for daily use is fairly self descriptive. It is a pill to be taken every day and has been developed for those men who want to be ready whenever the moment is right.

Cialis was originally designed to be taken on "as needed" basis, with one dose lasting 24 to 36 hours. The makers say the new full-time version of the anti-impotence drug will allow men to be sexually "spontaneous," day and night. The makers of Cialis say it is superior to its predecessor Viagra because the effects last much longer.

Dr Gerald Brock, a urologist at St. Joseph's Health Care in London stated that "Taking the drug on a daily basis and having complete spontaneity is going to be a real, genuine advance."

The manufacturers, Eli Lilly, claim the drug will be available on the National Health Service (NHS) with certain conditions. It is going to be available only through prescription and not over the counter.

The recommended dosage of Cialis per day is 5 mg, which should be taken once a day at approximately the same time. The dosage can be decreased to 2.5 mg per day depending upon the tolerability of the patient and the doctor’s decision.

15 percent of impotent patients with a certified medical condition like diabetes or renal failure will be able to receive a 28-day supply of the drug for free from the NHS. Others, whose problem is related to high blood pressure, trauma, heart disease, stress or depressiondefine will have to pay around £55 for each pack.

Eli Lilly says, “The drugs aren't thought to benefit men with normal sexual function. And there can be rare side-effects that can include headache, facial flushing and indigestion. The drug should not be used by men who are taking nitrates or those with cardiacdefine disease "for whom sexual activity is not advisable.”

Dr. J. Paul Whelan, Braley-Gordon Chair of Urology at McMaster University in Hamilton says that the drug can help with what is known as "penile rehabilitation" after prostate cancerdefinedefine surgery.

David Ralph, vice-chairman of the Sexual Dysfunction Association, said an estimated 2.3 million men suffer from impotence. He added “Impotence can destroy patients’ lives. It can leave them with depression and this can filter down into family life and the work place. This pill will make a huge difference. This will enable men to take a pill from the bathroom cabinet every morning, making them feel normal again.”

Dr Brock says, taking a very small dose of Cialis daily, men can have greater spontaneity with lesser medication, lower side effects, and at the end of the day have more patient relationship and partner satisfaction.
