 Admission to Medical Colleges

Getting admissions to Medical colleges is an arduous task, completing medical course is another arduous task …but for students, the craze for admissions to Medical colleges continues to rise.

And, in order to guide the students and aid them as they seek admissions to various Medical colleges across India, we have tried to list different good colleges, their seat availability and their cut-off percentage.

Christian Medical College

Christian Medical College, Vellore, in the year 2000, completed 100 years of service in the healing ministry.

The celebration of the centenary year has given us many opportunities for thanksgiving to God and to all who have contributed to the growth of the mission and work of our institution. It has also enabled us to reflect on the values that have sustained the work through many challenging times and situations. There has been a renewal of the commitment first demonstrated by our Founder, Dr. Ida Scudder, to provide education, and service of the highest quality, in the spirit of Christ.

AIIMS

All-India Institute of Medical Sciences was established as an institution of national importance by an Act of Parliament with the objects to develop patterns of teaching in Undergraduate and Post-graduate Medical Education in all its branches so as to demonstrate a high standard of Medical Education in India; to bring together in one place educational facilities of the highest order for the training of personnel in all important branches of health activity; and to attain self-sufficiency in Post-graduate Medical Education.

The Institute has comprehensive facilities for teaching, research and patient-care. As provided in the Act, AIIMS conducts teaching programs in medical and para-medical courses both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and awards its own degrees. Teaching and research are conducted in 42 disciplines. In the field of medical research AIIMS is the lead, having more than 600 research publications by its faculty and researchers in a year. AIIMS also runs a College of Nursing and trains students for B.Sc.(Hons.) Nursing post-certificate) degrees.

ACPM Medical College

The ACPM Medical College, promoted by the Jawahar Medical College (JMF), is the largest institution of medical education and research in the North Maharashtra region, one of the top research institutes in India, and an increasingly significant center for international education and research. The college is recognised by the medical council of India and the Maharashtra medical council.

The College is committed to excellence in education, research, and public service to the urban and rural community. In addition to full-time undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional programs, ACPMMC offers part-time study, informal courses, and continuing education programs.

 National Institute of Ayurveda, Admission Notice 2006-07

National Institute of Ayurveda offers "Research Fellowship" in the following Departments to undertake Advanced Study in Ayurveda:

1. Rasa Shastra & Bhaishajya Kalpana

2. Pancha karma

Applications on the prescribed forms are invited for Two Research Fellowships in each of the above Departments of this Institute.

 Central Institute of Psychiatry - Admission to PG Courses

Institution, commencing from May1,2007.

GROUP A

1. M.D, (Psychiatry) : 6 seats

Duration : 3 years (exemption of one year is granted to those who have passed Diploma of 2 years duration in the same subject).

Qualification :M.B.B.S. degree of any University recognized by Medical Council of India with one year rotating Internship completed by February, 15,2007.

 Screening Test for Indian Nationals with Foreign Medical Qualification

National Board of Examinations Announces the next session of the "Screening Test for Indian Nationals with Foreign Medical Qualification" will be held on 25th March 2007.

Indian Citizens possessing Foreign Medical Qualification can apply subject to meeting the eligibility criteria. For details kindly refer to Information Bulletin.

Postdoctoral/Postgraduate courses and Ph.D. programme - PGI, Chandigarh

Applications on the prescribed form are invited for the following Postdoctoral/Postgraduate courses and Ph.D. programme for the academic session starting from 1st January, 2007. INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE ENTERTAINED AND NO CORRESPONDENCE WILL BE MADE IN THIS REGARD.
