Angry & Aggressive: Analyze And Fight It

Is your anger taking control over you and your mind? Stop being a slave to your anger and sack it right away. Anger is a natural human emotion and a common destructive delusion.

Anger is a deluded mind that focuses on an animate or inanimate object, exaggerates its bad qualities and harms it. It crosses our mind everyday, may be with different intensity each time. After all, a mind under control is a beautiful mind.

Studies show that anger is a way to vent out your negative emotions and frustrations. So, anger is not bad but mismanagement of anger is certainly bad. Mismanagement of this emotion may result in conflicts on personal and professional front. Existence of stress in our lives cannot be ruled out. People are witnessing more aggression and fury, most of them arising from our stressed life.

Know your anger?
Not knowing how to control anger intensifies it and spreads it over everything getting in the way. Unmanaged anger can have grave consequences like depressiondefine, frustration, violence, anxiety, relationship breakdown, loss of employment etc. It is important to imbibe the fact that anger is an extremely destructive state of mind that serves no useful purpose.Domestic abuse, road rage, workplace violence, divorce and addiction are few examples of events when anger is mismanaged. It is good to express annoyance but while you do that, manage it wisely so that you don’t hurt anyone around you.

Anger management helps!
When anger starts its course, respond to the situation thoughtfully. Anger management is aimed at reducing your emotional reactions and the physiological arousal. Connecting with self can make you a calmer and relaxed person. Managing your anger is absolutely healthy & safe and radiates a positive ness. Unexpressed anger can lead to passive-aggressiveness. Anger management is divided into three stages –
1. Recognize anger (Before it starts setting in)
2. Understand anger (When you are actually angry)
3. Control anger (after you are angry)

Keep anger away
• Cognitive Restructuring – Just change the way you think. Anger is not the solution but thinking is. Try to forgive. This will make you feel better.
• Relax – Breathe deep when angry. Try to meditate or start yoga.
• Start Listening too – Adopt better communication skills. Be a good listener to control fiery emotions.
• Be on the lighter side of life – Evaporate your boiling emotions with some humor. Humor is good for health. It makes you look good too as it soothes frowning muscles.
• Be your buddy – get closer to self. Discover yourself, your hidden talents and hobbies. Do something you always wanted but never had time for. This change will help you de-stress.
• Socialize – get out, make friends and share your thoughts with others. Start enjoying life!
