BioMarker Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a California based privately-held company today announced the official launch of its Gene Essence(TM) test.

The test directly available to consumers in the United States is based on recent advances in DNA analysis technology.

The Gene Essence(TM) test provides the personalized genetic information that is unique to each individual. How to use the Gene Essence(TM) test.

The 3 Step Process is as follows:

• Buy a kit, provide a sample, and mail it back.
Once the Gene Essence consent form is read and signed and the order is placed online, you will receive your sample collection package with your unique code. Collect your cheek cells with two simple swabs, and send them back along with your code in the pre-addressed and pre-paid package.

• We analyze your DNA, generate your Report, and send you a notification.
The DNA extracted from your cheek cells is put through several laboratory processes, including purification, amplification, and labeling. The sample is then hybridized with a DNA chip, which contains 1.8 million synthetic DNA probes, nearly 1 million SNPs. The subsequent determination by the instrumentation and detection software provides your specific genotype at each SNP on the chip.

• Review your Gene Essence Report online
On completion, the customer receives a notification once the Report is ready. With the issued private login ID, one can review the Report interactively online.
