Medical tourism (also called medical travel or health tourism) is the rapidly-growing practice of traveling to another country to obtain health care services. Such services typically include elective procedures as well as complex specialized surgeries such as joint replacement, cardiacdefine surgery, dental surgery and cosmetic surgeries.
"Medical Tourism" is a growing concept in which people from different nations come over to India to get the best medical treatment either urgent or elective. The Indian hospitals are considered best due to their 'infrastructure' and 'technology' and are doing their best to impart the world class facilities.
The cost of treatment is too high in U.S. as compared to India where it just take a small amount of what it takes in U.S. Than one has to take an appointment and wait for days to get operated while its not so in India.
People from developing or poor countries come over to India to get the treatment as those countries do not have hospitals with such advanced facilities.
