Diet plays a key role in aiding the body to resist cancerdefine, and some foods are better than others. * Eat foods which are low in saturated fats:
Slash your intake of junk foods or fried foods, processed meats and full-fat dairy products.
* Add fibre:
Daily eat a diet rich in grains, fruit and vegetables. Not only are these foods low in fat and high in fibre, but they also contain antioxidantsdefine, which help to fight cancer.
* Do eat salads:
Add cherry tomatoes, red-colored Lollo Rosso lettuce and red onions in your salad as all these are rich on particles known as flavanols. You can also add citrus fruit skins as they contain a cancer-beating substance known as citrus limonoids.
* Drink alcohol in moderation as cancer risk increases with the amount of alcohol consumed.
* Avoid highly processed foods:
They commonly contain Trans fatty acids, chemicals and high amount of sugar that can be cancer-promoting.
* Eat foods that contain plenty of low-fat protein such as eggs, fish and yogurt.
* Avoid eating pasta, bread and sugar.
