Fitness On The Move

Are you a fitness enthusiast who simply must follow her exercise routine? But have a hectically busy schedule, a jet-setting job and busy touring? Here are simple fitness tips for mobile people;

Keep moving:
Sightseeing is a great opportunity to exercise. When on a day-tour, take a 20 minute brisk walk instead of a stroll. If at the seashore, go for an extended swim, play beach ball, go hiking and trekking and watch your calories burn.

Room workouts:
A hotel room is as good as the gym. Try the space saver circuit routines. Alternate one minute each of push-ups, sit-ups, lunges and squats with two minutes of marching in place. It gets the heart pumping, keeps the muscles toned and boosts metabolism for the day.

Stay fit in-flight:
Long flights can tire out the muscles, especially those in lower backs, shoulders and neck. Do simple stretching and breathing exercises. These help maintain proper posture, increase blood circulation and reduce muscle tension. Flexing, relaxing and rotating feet will help relieve fluid retention and stiffness in the leg joints.

Fitness tools are everywhere:
Exercising does not essentially mean on gym equipment like treadmill or weights. Look out for staircases and benches. Neighborhood parks may be equipped with items like pull-up bars, sit-up benches and plyometric steps(plastic steps that can be stacked on top of one another). Use them as exercise tools.
