Vienna, January 17: Do a good job at gardening. It will ensure that you do a good job in bed as well. A new study has revealed that that digging up some dirt in the garden for merely 30 minutes a day, five days a week can enhance a man’s sex drive.
So, if you weed, dig, water or do any garden chore on a regular basis, it will act as a natural Viagra for you. The study, conducted by researchers at the Medical University of Vienna has also found a positive correlation between dancing, riding, jogging and sex drive, besides its link with gardening.
The study was conducted on 700 men aged 45 to 60. The results revealed that gardening could decrease the danger of impotence by a good 38 percent. The impotence risk dropped by 52 percent when men burnt 4,000 calories in a week.
The researchers said, "Erectile function can be maintained even by low, regular physical activity. Energy expenditure of as little as 1,000 calories a week reduces the risk. Doctors should use the findings to encourage patients to do more physical training and adopt a healthier lifestyle."
Previous studies have indicated that more than 18 million men over the age of 20 suffer due to erectile dysfunction in the United States. Data also suggests that one in ten men experience impotence. This study clearly indicates that even moderate exercises can do wonders to them.
So, if you want your spouse to love you long, give the shovel in his hand and send him to the garden before he comes to bed.
The study has been published in the 'European Urology' journal.
