Handle Your Hair with Nature

Diet and lifestyle are two major factors that influence the health of the hair. Poor diet, illness and deficiencies of any particular vitamin and mineral affect the quality of hair. In such situations, problems like dandruff, hair loss, balding, premature graying etc emerge.

While home remedies may be tedious, they can give you great results. Get to know about various natural hair care recipes to keep hair problems at bay. It’s best to start early before it’s too late.

Preventing Hair Loss
A poor diet, exposure to chemicals or cosmetics, hormonal imbalance, stress, anxiety and mental tension precipitate hair loss. You can check the damage by massaging the scalp gently with coconut or almond oil daily for 10 to 15 minutes, Boiling neem leaves in water and rinsing hair with the cooled and strained mixture and drinking a mixture of lettuce and spinach juice to induce hair growth.

Stop Premature Graying
Hair turning gray before the age of 35 is termed as premature graying. It occurs due to excessive intake of tea, coffee, alcohol, meat, fried, oily, greasy, spicy, sour, and acidic foods. Stress can also lead to premature graying. Try the following to get rid of the problem.

Grate some fresh ginger. Mix with honey and place it in a jar. Eat 1 tea spoon everyday.

Oil your head with coconut or mustard oil at least three times in a week

Enhance oiling and massaging of scalp to increase blood circulation and activate sebaceous glands.

Keep Dandruff at Bay
Dry skin flaking off the scalp and itchiness is referred to as dandruff. The condition can be cured with the following steps:

Add 1 teaspoon of camphor to half a cup of coconut or neem oil. Store this in a glass container and massage on the scalp before bed, mix 1 teaspoon of castor, mustard and coconut oil each and massage into the scalp, Mix one part of lemon juice with two parts of coconut oil and massage into the roots of hair regularly. Wash with warm water after three to four hours or leave overnight.

A Good Diet
Increase intake of green leafy vegetables, salads, milk, fruits and sprouts. Take more proteins, milk, buttermilk, yeast, wheat germ, soya beans, whole grains and nuts.

The condition of your hair is a reflection of your constitution. Regular cleaning and brushing of hair is important. When hair is brushed, oil-producing glands in the scalp are stimulated. This natural oil makes the hair glossy and healthy.

Make the right choices since your health should be the most important thing in your life. Make sure you choose the right herbal products for hair care, with less risk of potentially harmful or harsh chemicals and synthetics.
