What Stress does to Your Body?
Prolonged stress may affect the functioning of the immune system. This may lead to increased cases of flues, infections, cancer and even increased risk of developing auto-immune responses such as rheumatoid arthritis and scleroderma.

What is Laughter Therapy and How can it Help?
Laughter therapy is not about cracking jokes. It is a psychological method to manage stress by developing an attitude to see stressful things with a humorous view point.

• Laughter Therapy helps in reducing stress by releasing anti-stress hormones-cortisol, dopamine, epinephrine and endorphins.

• Endorphins are also natural painkillers and hence increase ability of body to deal with pain.

• The therapy boosts immunity by making T-cells more effective and enhancing levels of endorphins and other neurotransmitters.

Additionally, laughter is a good cardiac exercise, and relaxes muscles and improves respiration.
