Process of ageing makes women 'Attractive'
New York, United States, January 28:What frightens the women most across the world is ageing. The process of getting old can be terrifying for women, as they believe it will affect their appearance.
But a new survey has revealed that most women feel most beautiful at age 32.
Almost half of the surveyed women said they felt most beautiful in their early thirties because of the confidence and life experience they gained at this age.
Of the 1,500 British women aged between 40 and 60 who participated in the survey, 38 percent said 32 is the age at which they felt most attractive, attributing it to the confidence gained from experience, an active love life, and well-balanced diet.
In the survey carried out by Britain-based bottled water brand Willow Water, four out of ten women picked 32 as the perfect age at which they felt most attractive, while a fifth emphasized they were the happiest with their appearance at age 40.
Psychologist Dr. Sandra Wheatley has called the findings extremely encouraging. Speaking to the Daily Mail, Wheatley said that feeling beautiful is associated with the increased confidence and life experience one gains with the age.
Wheatley said, “It sounds to me like women are becoming much more swayed by personality. It’s a sign that we are valued for who we are and what we are capable of, not just what is on the surface. Feeling beautiful is tied in with confidence and life experience.”
She added, “At 32, a woman has been through and survived more experiences and achieved more than at 22. Women can be their own worst enemy, scrutinizing each other’s weight and wrinkles. But this is a really encouraging study that beauty is more than skin deep.”
The survey findings conclude that beauty is more than skin deep and our fascination with beautiful celebrities who are running in their 30s proves it all.
