Size 14 women happiest with life and looks

London, UK, December 31: A new survey has found that women who are curvy size 14 are happiest with their life and the way they look.

According to a poll on 3,000 British women, the size 14 women are the happiest with their life and looks. Of all the women queried, girls who wear the 14 dress size rated their general happiness higher than all others with a quarter saying they were extremely thrilled.

A quarter of those with a 14 dress size said they were positively thrilled by the way they looked, over a half said their careers were just what and where they wanted them to be, while almost a third of all stated that their love lives were extremely satisfactory.

Second in the list came size 12 women, who claimed that they were satisfied with the personal lives, followed by sizes 8, 16 and 10.

“It's great to discover that being a size zero doesn't necessarily bring you happiness. Our data shows that the curvier size 14 woman is much more comfortable with her shape and has a happier outlook on life,” said a spokesperson for Special K, the company that undertook the poll.

In the happiness poll, size 24 women stated they were most dissatisfied with the way they looked, admitting to being willing to change anything to shed extra pounds. A staggering 18 percent of those who wear a size 24 or above admitted they were extremely unhappy with their life.

Less than four percent of size 24 stated they were happy with their career, while more than one in ten rated their love lives as extremely unhappy.

Size 20 women were placed second in the list of unhappiest clothes sizes, while size 22 women came in third. Size 6 and 18 women came fourth and fifth in the poll for most unhappy women.

The Special K spokesperson said: "It's great that curvier women are happier, but we know that many women still find it hard maintaining their ideal shape. That's why we've launched a free online tool called Shapemate that has all the help and support women need to achieve their slimming goals."
