The end of year is here and nothing can stop us from celebration….Thanksgiving…Christmas….New Year…its party time for everyone. We drink, relax and eat like a pig…..Who gives a thought about exercise when they have in front of them mouth watering dishes and the excuse is Hey! Isn’t it festive season?
We realize our mistake when we see those bulges popping out from our body making us aware of what all we ate during holidays….If we keep in mind few things during holiday season than there won't be any chance of weight gain.
Eat moderately
Don’t get indulged in overeating but take small portions of food you want to eat like cakes, desserts. Depriving yourself from your favorite food will make you eat it in more amounts, so better have a bite or two of it. This way you will enjoy it and won’t overeat.
Drink plenty of water
Drink at least eight to ten glasses of water per day. Alcohol is the one of the culprit for weight gain as it has more calories, so avoid it.
Don’t forget to exercise
Make exercise the first thing to do in the morning. Than look out for the option where you can make your body move a bit more like taking steps instead of elevators, parking car at a distance from marketplace, taming your own garden etc. Grab every opportunity to keep moving your muscles.
Look out for calories
Whenever you are going to eat or drink something look out for the calories content on the label. Have food or drink items which have fewer calories. Drinks like alcohol and caffeine have stimulants and thus they increase the bodies blood sugar level and make you more stressed out thus you tend to eat more so have a glass of plain water for each drink you have.
Think new
Be more creative, throw parties which has some theme like ice- skating, football match, making a snowball, who can do more push ups etc. Think of some new theme and you can have fun along with exercising.
Maintain a record book
Keep a check on what you eat daily, it will give you picture of how much you should eat and what you have to chuk out from your meal the next day. Keep honest records and don’t try to starve but have your favorite meal but in small portion once in while.
