Tips to Handle your Stress

Stress, when we hear this word the only picture that comes to our mind is a man who is too tensed and worried when he is not able to cope with the new demands whether it’s in his personal life or professional life. Stress is taken to be as negative or “bad thing” but that’s wrong, it completely depends on how an individual takes it. If he takes it in positive aspect than he can gain success and if taken in negative aspect can lead to failure and lower self esteem.

Everybody faces stress in life at one point or another, following simple steps can help in coping with the stress and fighting back life with the same vigor.

Do’s

1. Go for a walk

2. Meditate

3. Talk to a close friend

4. Listen to your favorite music

5. Go for massage

6. Read a book

7. Play a game

8. Take a nap

9. Go for shopping

10. Have a dinner out

11. Watch your favorite movie

12. Smile (it works)

13. Involve yourself in some charity work

14. Do yoga

15. Play with small children

16. Pursue your hobby

17. Help your parents’ with their work

18. Have a chocolate

19. Maintain a dairy

20. Take a hot shower

21. Arrange a trip with your friends and go out

22. Do breathing exercise

23. Think what could be done in such a situation

24. Go for jogging

25. Do gardening

26. Go back to nature

27. Say things to yourself like “I can”, “I am able to” etc.

28. Hug your partner, close friend or mom

Don’t

Don’t start drinking alcohol to relieve stress.

Avoid giving extreme reactions.

Getting angry or saying unfair things will not help.

If you are too angry or too stressed, get away from the situation.

Don’t panic regarding petty matters but try to arrange things in priority list.

Learn about time management.
