Stress can also be understand as physiological and psychological response of the body to a situation that is perceived to be harmful. Being stressed means too anxious and tired to be able to relax.

POSITIVE STRESS- Eustress: Provides sense of urgency and alertness to cope with threatening situations. Also helps in spurring motivation and awareness and provides stimulation to cope with threatening situations.
NEGATIVE STRESS- Distress: Excessive, prolonged and unrelieved stress can have a harmful effect on mental, physical and spiritual health. It can be a contributory factor in problems like headaches, digestive problems, skin complaints, insomnia and ulcers.
