The Bangalore Kidney Foundation (BKF) pioneered the diagnosis and treatment of renal diseases in the state of Karnataka, India. BKF promotes the cause of kidney disease patients through partnerships with Health Care Institutions. BKF is also associated with FORTE to promote an active Cadaver Organ Programme. A Board of Trustees with a diverse professional background manages BKF as a charitable not-for-profit trust. BKF's primary objectives are to "provide affordable renal health care for the needy", "facilitate accessible renal health care to all affected" and "create awareness of renal health
