London, United Kingdom, January 20: For the first time, the U.K. researchers have succeeded in capturing images of bleeding inside the heart after people suffered a cardiacdefine arrestdefine.
According to the scientists, from the MRC Clinical Sciences Centre at Imperial College London, the amount of bleeding can indicate how damaged a person's heart is after an attack. It can help them monitor the patient’s condition as well as determine the course of treatment needed.
Each year, more than 20,000 people in the United States are affected by a life-threatening thoracic aortic aneurysm (TAA). Although TAAs are less common than other diseases like heart attacks or diabetes, they can prove to be just as dangerous. Fortunately, if detected early, TAAs can be treated, or even cured, with new treatment options that help patients to ensure a longer, fuller and more active lifestyle.
