cholesterol as we all know is the major cause of heartattacks....it gets deposited along the walls of the arteries(Arteriosclerosis) n raises the blood pressure....n finally leads to myocardial infarctiondefine....better known as heart attack. i guess it would be better if we can control our consumption of such fats.....also it'd be important to know the diff between good n bad cholesterol....after all a heart attack is probably the last thing one would want to die of....what say people?? prepared to cut it down??

zero trans fat

Buy products that are low in trans fat. When I buy some bread, I always make sure to check the label if it is zero trans fat.

Cut down on bad cholesterol

It is indeed important to know the good and bad cholesterol. LDL cholesterol is called "bad" cholesterol, because elevated levels of LDL cholesterol are associated with an increased risk of coronary heart disease while the HDL cholesterol is called the "good cholesterol" because HDL cholesterol particles prevent atherosclerosis by extracting cholesterol from the arterydefine walls and disposing of them through the liver. To prevent a heart attack, we need to cut down on bad cholesterol. But how do we cut down bad cholesterol? First, we need to watch what we eat. It is best to choose foods that are low in trans and saturated fats. Second, we must be careful how we cook our foods. Minimize deep-frying and throw away the oil once it has been used. Lastly, read product labels carefully. Buy products that are lower in trans fat (less than 0.05 g of trans fat per serving) as well as saturated fat, sodium and sugar, and higher in fiber.
