Toddler with Re-Occuring Rash

Submitted by vaughnnjess on Sun, 12/07/2008 - 18:11. ::

To Whom It May Concern,

In May of 08 we moved from Tucson AZ to Jackson TN. Shortly after the move we noticed our 2 yr old daughter developing a slight rash. Over the past 6 months the rash has progressively gotten worse. First the doctors thought it was just irritated from the new environment, pollen, and humidity. They gave us a crème to administer. The crème seemed to help with the dryness of the rash areas but the rash was still appearing frequently. The next doctor thought it was something airborne and gave her a prescription for Singulair and Loratadine, this doesn’t seem to be helping at all. The rash starts out as red raised areas that sometimes ooze, they then dry up and become scaly most commonly oval shaped areas. They seem to come back in the same areas and are now starting to discolor her skin. The main sites are on both arms, wrists to shoulders, over her shoulder blades, at her waist line on her back, on her legs from her ankles to thighs, and on each cheek by her ear lobes. Most recently the rash has just appeared in her upper inner ear. We plan to take her to a specialist and have allergy tests preformed, but we still want all the opinions we can summon. Please help our little girl get better. Any advice or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks For Your Time,
The Packer Family

hi vaughnnjess. How's your daughter now?

Since you mentioned that you moved to Jackson, I think it's just airborne. I suggest you go for a second opinion. You can ask other doctor's advice.

Hello. I think you daughter

Hello. I think you daughter has some kind of allergy. I think it's because of the new environment you have right now. Have you had her checked by an allergist?
