What is difference between HIV positive and AIDS?

Hey guys am all confused, what is this HIVdefine positivedefine? Is it different from AIDS or same?? Am kind of puzzled, please leme know if you have any answer to this.

AIDS stands for acquired

AIDS stands for acquired immunodeficiency syndrome, a disease that makes it difficult for the body to fight off infectious diseases. The human immunodeficiency virus known as HIVdefine causes AIDS by infecting and damaging part of the body's defenses against infection — lymphocytes, which are a type of white blood cell in the body's immune (infection-fighting) system that is supposed to fight off invading germs.

HIVdefine positivedefine is a person who has human immunodeficiency virus HIV, which is the agent of the deadly disease AIDS. Such a person can continue to live for many years without much difficult and lead a normal life. HIV usually attacks and gradually destroys the immune systemdefine making the person more susceptible to infections.

While, Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) is the final/last stage of deadly disease caused by HIV (human immunodeficiency virus). The person has the lowest count of T cells (immune cells) say less then 200 and thus develops frequently fatal infections and cancers.
