Lifestyle changes among women are fast leading to infertility, said experts in a symposium held at All India Institute of Medical Sciences(AIIMS).
Nearly 6-8 percent of the couples are facing infertility caused by lifestyle changes, smoking, and irregular work routines among women.
"Women have switched to a faster lifestyle now. The stress is affecting their menstrual cycle and hormonal make-up, leading to infertility," said Abha Majumdar, director of the centre of In-vitro human fertilization (IVF) and human reproduction at Sir Ganga Ram hospital.
"Late marriages, mainly after 30 years of age, are another reason for infertility," she said.
