Children suffering from ADHD often face difficulties in solving math and reading tests as compared to other children of the same age group.
The study links the phenomenon to both genetic and environmental factors, suggesting that the disorders have common genetic influences.
The brain takes more time to decode the information coming to it due to the common influences, resulting in slow processing speed, the researchers reveal.
