Glomerular filtration rate

Washington,United States, January 22: A new method has been developed for estimating Glomerular filtration rate (GFR) that is the most useful indicator of kidney function.

Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK), part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) have designed the technique.

"This study illustrates the importance of our commitment to research on chronic kidney disease in children," said NIDDK Director Griffin P. Rodgers.
