People who undergo liposuction, a procedure that safely removes excess fat cells from problem areas to refine their figure may not be achieving permanent body-contouring, finds a new study.
Researchers found elimination of fat via liposuction from a targeted area not only comes back but also reappears in a different part of the body.
Rudolph Leibel, an obesity researcher at the University of Columbia stated, "It's another chapter in the 'You can't fool Mother Nature' story.”
What can liposuction really do for you?
Surgeons often use liposuction to eliminate fat from hips, thighs, buttocks, chin, neck, love handles, and stomach that have been resistant to strenuous weight loss exercises.
