“Female Viagra” may soon hit the shelves

Years after Viagra stormed the market and revived the sex life of millions of men, there are many wondering when drug companies will develop a libido enhancer for the fairer sex.

UK reports say that Pfizer Inc., the company behind the male Viagra pill, is well on its way to launch a drug similar to the little blue pill to help stimulate sexual arousal in women.

Talking about the discovery, Chris Wayman the lead researcher at the Pfizer center in Sandwich, Kent stated, "Before this work, we knew surprisingly little about the processes that control all of these changes.

“Now we are beginning to establish the pathways involved in sexual arousal scientists may be able to find ways of helping women who would like to overcome female sexual arousal disorder.”
