Fatal strain of polio spreads to China from Pakistan

The WHO has warned that every traveler to and from Pakistan must be properly vaccinated to avert the deadly disease which has its epicenter in the country.

As per reports, a lethal strain of polio has spread to China originating from Pakistan.

Alarming rise in TB in Europe and Asia -- WHO

The World Health Organization has drawn up a plan to deal with the rising number of cases of drug-resistant T.B. in the European countries. According to the UN agency, 9 countries with highest number of new tuberculosis patients are in Europe.

Recent estimates of the drug resistant TB cases, a survey conducted by the WHO, put the number at 81,000 per year in Europe with several countries still failing to diagnosis all cases.
