Epilepsy surgery is effective in controlling seizures over long term, researchers have found.

According to the findings of the recent research, nearly half of epilepsy sufferers who underwent epilepsy surgery remained free from seizures for about a decade.

Indian surgeons perform breakthrough robotic liver surgery

In a pioneering procedure doctors in India have successfully carried out the nation’s first robotically assisted liver transplant giving a fresh lease of life to a four-year-old child.

The doctors carried out the procedure on 36-year-old Rahmatullah, last month at Medanta Medicity hospital in Gurgaon using the Da-Vinci robotic surgical system.

8- limbed boy's life returns to normalcy post pioneering surgery

In what can be termed as a medical marvel, doctors at the Fortis Hospital Bangalore performed a precise surgical procedure and successfully separated a seven-year-old boy from his malformed twin.

Dubbed as the “eight-limbed-boy”, Deepak Paswaan from Bihar was struggling with a rare condition from birth, wherein a semi-formed body, complete with arms and legs, protruded out from his chest.
